  13. Tip for everyone: watch any YouTube video free annoying ads just download the app called "ad free browser", copy and paste the link. That's it.
    Its really annoying being concentrated listening to this guy when all of the sudden some ad pops up trying to sell you something

  21. So I've been avoiding adrenaline/nervousness but then last night as I was lying there falling into sleep there was this pleasant feeling of adrenaline that rushed into my body. Maybe that's called excitement? Is that good? Are we moving from nervousness and worry into excitement? Or is that still bad cuz it's still using adrenaline, just like the nervousness that comes with worrying? Is the goal to be calm, or to have excitement? I'm forgetting how to trigger adrenaline, cuz I thought it's bad for the body, but maybe it's only bad if you think of it as fear/worry. I have no problem with nervousness as a feeling, and I can easily choose to enjoy it which I assume makes it become excitement, but I thought it's better to be calm. Are my feelings only going to come through adrenaline, cuz some feelings don't seem to involve it at all. Laughter is what I've been using to interrupt worry in the seconds before it signals the adrenaline release. I also noticed that if I tense my stomach muscles that kinda become a distraction, so sometimes I'll do the distraction of tensing up and then relax into laughter, this way avoiding the adrenaline entirely. I want to get my body out of worry state completely and remove it, so I have to do this to get the body calm enough for maybe a week or two till it forgets the old me ad enjoys being the new calm relaxed me.
    I'm also moving away from sadness. When i was a kid I was annoyed by songs that made me feel sadness, I wouldn't say it was painful at all but I just didn't like it. Then as I fell in love and grew into my teens i started to find sadness as meaningful. But now I found out that it's associated with depression and negative feelings. I had been using sadness anytime I wanted to feel meaning, and I had maped it onto so many feelings so there were different types of sadness, loving, heartbreaking, missing someone, caring, wanting to be good and do great things, so even excitement was using sadness if it was supposed to be meaningful. I had no idea how far I went with it and probably didn't think much about it till after all those years and now i'm looking back at it all. Then one day recently after coming off lithium I was watching a christmas movie and was falling deep into sadness that it felt scary, I was feeling fear about the sadness because it went too deep. i had no idea how deep I made those pathways to that one emotion, that when I came off lithium I was able to feel the depth of it and it was like a slippery slope. I also realized that maybe the reason I found sadness so meaningful is simply because it was a long lost emotion that I avoided in childhood, so it had a familiar feel to it. I also had no idea that sadness had to do with depression.
    So anyways, I want to use positive emotions to be the lens I see all my other emotions through. So I'm changing things around.
    But if you do have any advice for me specifically I'd love to hear it.

  22. So basically you have to accept the current you, while trusting that the new you will come. Getting all nervous about it will only reinforce the same negative circuits you'r trying to move away from. Am I getting this right?
