The heart chakra, also known as the anahata chakra, is the fourth chakra in the chakra system.

The anahata chakra is our chakra of love, compassion, kindness, and joy. It represents our ability to make give and receive love in a healthy way.
When the heart chakra is overactive, you might struggle with setting healthy boundaries – always putting others’ needs before your own.
When the heart chakra is underactive, you might struggle to let anyone in at all; closing yourself off from love and connection.
